    Pain in fingers and toes

My son is getting ''pain/ funny feeling" in fingers and toes. He is constantly making a fist with his hands and says he can't stop doing it. I will often see him curling his toes under the ball of his feet as much as he can. He often cries when trying to fall asleep, saying he can't make it go away. How can I rule out different issues without it costing me a fortune? Due to a recent personal situation and a constant life stressor, I am unable to at this point remove the 'issue'. I have a feeling it may be a psychosomatic reaction to the stressor as he seems to be quite anxious and intimidated by that person causing it and won't let me leave his sight. He is now panicking when he cannot see me because it makes him feel 'unsafe'. He is already seeing a psychologist but he tends to shut down when the "too hard" questions are asked and won't give answers. Is anyone able to offer any advice? Awaiting family law court and really need help before this happens.
