I've recently been diagnosed with 9mm tear of the medial meniscus, grade 4 chondromalacia, grade 3-4 patella chondropathy and mild ACL tear with fibre definition loss. I'm 45 years of age and received this injury at work as a civil labourer and have been advised I won't work in this industry again. Have been given 1 round of PRP injections with no positive results. I have started hydrotherapy. Is there anything else that can be recommended to help? I'm concerned about knee replacement as I'm only 45 years old.
Are there alternatives for someone with a bone spur to trapeziectomy? As the recovery time seems to be long and not guaranteed to work I cannot afford to be immobile for 8-12 weeks.
