    Shoulder Injury following fall

Hi, I am older enough to know better but I was playing chase with our Cavalier King Charles while wearing socks on our tiled floor. Once you've stopped laughing..... I slipped and landed heavily on my right shoulder. Absolute agony and humiliation as my wife reminded me of the stupidity of what I had done. I had the shoulder x-rayed. No fracture showed I thought it was a rotator cuff injury. Trouble lifting my arm, weakness in my right arm...it shakes picking up a large cup of coffee, hurts like crazy when I sleep on my right side. I was given a steroid injection in my shoulder. It included an anaesthetic. The relief was instant. I could even shut my car door with my right arm. I lifted some heavy stuff shortly after for work and now it is terrible again. I really should go see a doctor/physio again but keen to hear any thoughts prior to that. Thank you very much in anticipation of your responses.
