Husband's blood test has raised levels Creatinine and eGFR which GP wants him to consult a kidney specialist. He had bypass surgery in Nov 2015 with complications, pneumonia and atrial fibrillation resulting in a 6-week stay in the hospital. These levels increased in 5 months ie Jan 2017 to June 2017. Has experienced leg pain diagnosed and treated by GP as restless leg syndrome. Treated recently for infection in his left leg with antibiotics. How serious would this be with Creatine level at 114 umol/L and eGFR at 54mL?
I am concerned and worried he is 75 years old.
Thank-you for your help.
