Ideas on why my daughter is still nauseous and vomiting 2 weeks after a cruise?

17 year old female began vomiting on the second day of a cruise - has continued for 20 days now. Bad in the morning, gets better as the day progresses. Not pregnant - has had 2 periods this month. Has experienced nausea and some vomiting, cramps and stomach churning, feeling full up to the top of her neck. Initially thought motion sickness, but been to a vestibular physio who did tests and determined no vestibular disturbance, so not motion sickness. GP put her on Esomeprazole and ondansetron which has generally controlled the vomiting, with some nausea remaining. Blood, urine and stool tests took 18 days after onset all clear, also had a gastroscopy which was also clear. The gastroenterologist has requested brain MRI - any ideas?
