    Tight fitting retainer

    Related Topic
I got my braces off two years ago and wore my retainer properly for the most part. Eventually I lost one and have continued to lose it, however I found them eventually. I feel like it's not worth the trouble of paying for a new retainer every month. As a result, I have used one for a while and now my teeth have shifted because of all the unwanted dental work. I just recently put back the retainer and it hurts a lot. I have a permanent retainer on the bottom, but my teeth still are out of line. What do I do? I don't want to keep having to pay for a new retainer (not to mention the fact that it makes my breath smell horrible even after I brush my teeth and clean the retainer) or get braces/Invisalign again.
