What is the treatment for pernicious anaemia?

I have pernicious anaemia with neurological symptoms although my B12 tests high. I seem to respond to injection of methylcobalamine, but one injection every 2/3 months is just not enough. My GP tells me that I should not need it any more often but after a short time my symptoms return. -
