If the Thyroxine isn't working perhaps consider Synthetic medication through a Doctor that specialises in the Tarithyroid, cortisol levels and adrenal.

I have Hashimotos and went from 50mg to 200mg; but symptoms despite normal T4 I was experiencing, fatigue, foggy brain, poor concentration and worst of all, sore body- aches and pains everywhere for no reason. I put on weight and felt crappy constantly. I decided to try something else. I researched and found a Dr that prescribed synthetic medications. I am on 3g Tarithryoid and for a short while was on an adrenal-cortisol supplement which helped heaps! I have no aches and pains, great concentration and have lost some weight at last. I feel lots better and my recent endocrinologist appt - told me I was very healthy. A huge change from the picture six months ago. Apparently there is a percentage of people (10%) that respond better to synthetic than Thyroxine. I am in that 10%.

Down sides to synthetic meds is 1. more expensive - I pay about $270-280 for 3 months 2. Its compounded - need to have a good compounding pharmacist in your town 3. It's not on the PBS unlike Thyroxine

    Hope this helps!
