    Thyroid - will my health decline and how?

    I have found a lump on the right side of my neck. I showed it to my Doctor and I am to have an ultrasound next week.

    It may just be a thyroid nodule which is an abnormal growth of thyroid gland cells that form a lump within the gland. It can be noncancerous (benign) or cancerous (malignant) and may be filled with fluid or thyroid gland cells.
