  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Does my son have child dyspnoea?

My son has dyspnoea which I am thinking is due to anxiety, even though he doesn't seem anxious. The only reason why I know this term is because of google. First time I've seen doctor he said it wasn't asthma. Second time I went back he decided it was however I still don't think so. My son is ok when he is distracted however when he's not he struggles to breath or catch his breath. It is distressing to watch and annoying to him. I have no idea who to see or what to do. I suffered this when I was younger which was diagnosed as anxiety but it went away on it's own, but his has been going on for months. I live in Townsville and have no idea if there are any doctors here that can help? Please help me find a solution or a doctor.
