    The short answer is yes, young people can get sleep apnoea, though it is more common in older age groups.

    Some of the main risk factors include increased weight, snoring, alcohol and/or smoking. Sleep apnoea can have some serious health effects, so you should encourage your husband to see a GP who may then refer him off to a sleep medicine specialist.
