Can I use my removed dental braces again?

I had my dental braces on for more than a year, and when I thought it could already be removed, I asked my orthodontist and she said it's ok because my teeth were already stabilized, only that I should wear a retainer after it. I was so irritated with the retainer, I just used it for few weeks because I wasn't comfortable with it. And then, after few months after the removal of my braces, I noticed that my teeth was not in the same position as it was when my braces were just removed. my orthodontist gave me the brackets I used, and I am thinking if I can still use it so my teeth can still be aligned well. please help. thanks!
