  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

How long should I leave it to have liver blood test?

My liver test results were high & I have been asked to retest it.

Since the first alone test I have been on primolut and am wondering how long after finishing these tablets should I leave it before going back for test again?

A great question. The answer as always - it depends. It depends on why the LFTs were done initially and what the results were. Primolut is a hormone and can affect liver function tests. I would suggest asking your GP or specialist. They would normally suggest a time period such as a few weeks or a few months.
