    Conjuctivitis can have many different causes, including bacterial infection, viruses, allergies, toxins or trauma.

    Bacterial and Viral conjunctivitis are often very easily transmitted to other people, so think of conjuctivitis as having a significant chance of being contagious.

    If you have conjunctivitis, it is important to wash your hands after touching your eyes and do not share towels, face washers etc.
