The main risk factors or causes of pancreatitis include:

    • chronic alcoholism
    • biliary tract disease
    • gallstones
    • viral infections

If you suspect you may have pancreatitis make sure you get checked out by your doctor/GP. An Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) can help you to manage this condition through dietary strategies that help to relieve the symptoms associated with pancreatitis.
