    Complications from premature birth:

    • The baby may need oxygen via a ventilator or in a incubator or have Apnoea this is when baby stops breathing for a short period of time
    • Feeding difficulties the baby may be unable to suckle so may need to be feed through a tube
    • Difficulty controlling body temperature may mean baby needs to spend some time under heat lights or in a incubator
    • Slow heart rate called Bradycardia usually caused by Apnoea
    • Jaundice
    • Mild to server disabilities
