How long does it take for the fifth meta tarsal fracture to heal ?
About 7 months ago, I twisted my left leg and fell in the process, causing a minor fracture on the fifth metatarsal.
I was asked to use the half boot for about 6 weeks, an X-Ray after that had shown no improvement, but still was asked to just wear cushioned sports shoes.
Today after 7 months, although there is no pain normally, it does flare up when I try to go running, or even short walks. Is there anything I can do to speed the healing? I am already taking calcium and Vitamin D supplements.
