My counsellor said I shouldn't take medication for my depression but should seek help from alternative medicine. I tried walking on my own, breathing, attending weekly counselling sessions, etc; but I am now more tired, uninterested in my daily life and experience cycles of mood swings. How long do I have to wait for therapy to work? It has been six weeks now. What are the differences between evidence-based and alternative therapies in psychology/counselling? Thanks in advance!
