    Painful hands

I've got very sore, painful hands. I'm a phlebotomist and my thumbs have hurt for ages but now I get pain across the back of both hands and wrists. Sometimes it radiates up my arm. I had De Quervain's in one thumb a couple of years ago but after a recent scan, it seems to have gone. My hands ache/sore 24/7, not just at work. My Dr says I have to live with it. The pain/ache across the back of my hands has only started this week, but the thumb problems I've had for years. I'm desperate now as it affects everything in my daily life as well as work.
