Is it safe to wear my retainer?

I had wore invisalign and finished like 3 years ago. I have been fairly good about wearing my retainer. However, my life got really busy and I haven't worn it in like two months. It's tight and hurts a bit. Is it OK to use to try to wear it throughout the day like invisalingn to shift my teeth back or not?

It depends on how well the retainer fits. If it is very tight and you experience discomfort please get that checked with your dentist. Retainers aim to keep teeth from moving out of the position after treatment, if the teeth have moved significantly from lack of use, retainer wear most likely will not move them back.
