    Liver cancer incidence is increasing. Liver cancer is slightly different to many other cancers because it often occurs with a damaged liver. Thus the prognosis of liver cancer is dependent on the liver cancer as well as the underlying liver disease. Generally speaking, if liver cancer is found early, it is curable. If liver cancer is found late, it is unlikely to be cured. The focus will be disease and symptom control.
