Why am I just spectating what's happening and why do I lose contact with reality?

Hello I am 18 and for around 10 months now I am experiencing a really weird thing wich almost makes me wanna ask myself if whats happening is real or if everything is just a dream, I just feel like everything is happening by itself, sometimes when I am outside I have to focus 5-10 seconds and tell myself that I am who I am and that I am doing what I'm doing to keep in touch with reality, I feel like I am just seeing images of whats happening, that I am just spectating whats happening or that I am watching my life from a TV, sometimes I do things automatic, not manual, sometimes I lose track of what i am saying, and if I watch someone talking it just seems soooo bizzare and weird, my perception has changed a lot..Sometimes when I'm alone i just cry and ask myself if I will be normal again or if I am going to live my whole life like this, if I focus on doing something I just can't do it, like drinking water out of a cup my hand starts to shake like hell. I need help, IDK whats happening.

I am not a clinical health professional but what you have described sounds to me like what is called dissociation - I experience it sometimes.

What has helped me with it is using what are called grounding techniques, which my clinical psychologist taught me (there are many of them).

It might help if you got your GP to refer you to a mental health professional who has experience of working with clients who experience dissociation.

    All the best.
