  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

How can I remember things or make thoughts occur?

Every day, it feels like my head is entirely empty, no thoughts. This leads to anxiety and stress. Memory is not apparent (cannot remember what I done the day before or any questions that are asked cannot be answered).

I always think that the best way to approach a concern such as this is to make an appointment with your GP and have a full physical. That way you can determine if there is a medical cause for how you are feeling. Be frank with your Doctor regarding your symptons so that they can determine what tests if any need to be taken.

The next step would be then to gain a referral to a Counsellor or Psychologist to help you manage your anxiety and stress. There is a saying " a problem shared is a problem halved" and the act of making appointments and seeking support will help you to feel in control and will help you find those answers that you are seeking.

    I wish you the best
