The cost of surgery can be quite variable.  The final figure is dervived from a surgeon fee, anaesthetist fee, hospital fee (which includes a bed fee and a theatre fee.  There may be other cost added if you require any pathology while you are an inpatient.  Now, if you have health insurance, they will usually cover your hospital fee, and a portion of your surgeon and anaesthetic fees.  You will most likely have an out of pocket fee, whichh you will be required to pay and can not claim back from insurance or Medicare.

On average an uninsured breast reduction can cost from $12-18,000 and an insured breast reduction can cost from $8-12,000.  These are really quite ball park figures and as you can see can be extremely variable.  Different states will also have different price schedules.  You will be best to find your surgeon in your area and call and ask for  the fee structure or have a consultation to get a more accurate figure and quote.  Ensure you see a qualified plastic surgeon and ask them for their credientials.  You will get what you pay for!
