I have recently been diagnosed with low testosterone and my Endo ordered few blood tests about 5 weeks ago my LH and FSH level were within normal range except it was low normal range for lh - 2.1 I believe. My testosterone level was 5.1.
Had an MRI of pituitary for suspected adenomas which thankfully came up clear. So I was wondering why have I got low testosterone even though my pituitary functions are normal?
Follow up blood work is scheduled in a week time from now including ACTH,FSh, lh, thyroid hormones etc as my Endo wants to rule out any foreign substance I took for bodybuilding. I haven't taken steroids or the like except caffeine pre-workout drinks which was 6 months ago.
I only took caffeine pre-workout drinks twice and followed their guidelines and halved the recommended volume. Now my dilemma is what's causing low testosterone? I am 35yr old male. Thyroid level are normal so far.
