    Is there a cure or vaccine for HIV?

    I was just diagnosed with HIV and now I'm a bit relaxed, but two weeks ago it was hard ro accept. i just want to know if there is any hope that in the upcoming years there is a cure available.

    Currently there is no cure available for HIV but there is extensive research going on in this area. The treatment availalbe presently will ensure that your immune system stays healthy and is not damaged by the virus, but will not cure it. 
    Once you have commenced on treatment it is imperative that you maintain the regime to ensure the virus ccannot damage your immune system.
