With acne, it really depends on what the basis is. If it is hormonal we need to correct the underlying hormonal imbalance. Is it due to toxicity, particularly in the digestive system and the bowel and liver?

In terms of treatment it is necessary to be as clean with your diet as possible, trying to avoid sugars. The bacteria in the skin feeds off sugar and it will complicate it and aggravate it. Also, too much dairy can actually exacerbate acne. Lots of salads, vegetables and fresh vegetable juices are good. Cut back on sugars because that unbalances your blood sugars and can cause insulin resistance. Drink lots of water to flush the skin. I often suggest fresh vegetable juice, particularly carrot juice. Carrot is really healing for the skin.
