A few things I have found with years of CD - use only 1 ply toilet paper, if anus is itchy then there is usually something caught up in the anus - Clean area with baby wipes or the new flushable loo wipes, some bepanthen or pawpaw ointment works good to clean the area and soothe it. If the fissure has already started then use something like Rectinol or Proctosydel ointment to heal pain and soothe the area.

Also handful of salt in warm bath or 10 drops of lavender oil in a warm bath also help to relax you and soothe the itch and pain.

I have had crohns for over 30 years.
