There isn't any specific form of exercise that is the best. Gentle cardiovascular and gentle resistance or strengthening exercises are quite suitable for people with Crohn's Disease. We generally advise to avoid heavy abdominal work, because that can sometimes exacerbate stomach pain but there isn't really a “best exercise.”

I have had Crohns disease for many years and took up playing lawn bowls - initially once a week but now I can play up to 4 times a week. I love it and it is so social. Also the best advantage is that there is always a toilet close by - which is so reassuring when you want to do some exercise, hard to go bush or beach walking if you know you will probably need a loo.
