    Pilates can help build bone density in conjunction with a sensible diet. There are many weight bearing and resistance exercises and equipment that assist in building bone density in the Pilates studio. As well as maintaining bone strength, Pilates will also help your overall strength, flexibility, balance and posture. These are very important in preventing falls, therefore the risk of bone fractures are decreased.

    I personally do not believe pilates alone can do this. The more weight bearing exercise you do the better. Nutrition and biochemistry will have the greatest effect.
