    Having caffeine while you are pregnant is safe - if you don't overdo it. Large amounts of caffeine during pregnancy can be harmful to your baby. NSW Health recommends pregnant women limit caffeine to 200mg per day, which is equivalent to about 1-2 espresso style coffee, 3 instant coffees or 4 cups of tea. The amount of caffeine in tea and coffee depends on how much you put in, the type of beans and the strength of the brew. Remember caffeine is also found in chocolate and cola drinks.

    There is no harm to you or bub if you continue having your daily cappacino. Just avoid double shot lattes and energy drinks containing caffeine.

    Instant coffee = 60-100mg per cup
    Espresso coffee = 90-200mg per cup
    Tea = 30-90mg per cup
    Energy drinks = 80mg/250ml can
    Cola drinks = 50mg/375ml can
    Chocolate = 20-60mg/ bar
