    Encouraging group based activities. Speaking with your chid's teacher is very important as the teacher is often responsible for pairing up children with others for group based activities. Ask questions such as “Does my child feel more comfortable with certain children as opposed to others?”

    Furthermore, there ae several resources available for assisting parents in developing their children's social skills on the internet.
