    How serious are fibroids?

    Fibroids,  are growths or benign tumours that form inside the uterus (womb). Fibroids are not cancer. Most women with fibroids don't have symptoms. However, in some instances women can experience heavy and /or painful periods, anaemia( from heavy bleeding)  infertility( if the size of the frbroid prevents implantation) and miscarriage in pregnancy.
    Some of the conditions therefore which fibroids can lead to are.
    Anaemia
    Problems urinating
    Infertility
    Miscarriage and premature delivery
