  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Could vertigo be part of a more serious condition?

I am an older woman who experiences vertigo quite frequently. I am wondering if this symptom is part of a larger condition that I may not be aware of. Is vertigo a symptom of any disease or illness?

    Thanks

Usually the causes of vertigo are not due to serious conditions such as tumours, however this needs to be excluded, particularly if you are older or if it keeps returning.  Book an appointment with someone who focuses on the treatment of vertigo to have yourself assessed.
