    There have been some genes that have been linked with raised eye pressure and glaucoma. However, genes are not the only risk factor involved in the development of glaucoma. Due to this, we are not able to say exactly what the chances are of getting glaucoma. What we can say is that if you have a first degree relative with glaucoma, then you have a higher risk of developing glaucoma.
