I hope somebody can help me out with this one. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer four years ago and had a total thyroidectomy. And then just a year ago I had two tumours come back in the same area. Followed up with radioactive iodine. I’ve also noticed since all of this is been going on that I can’t sleep very well due to gasping and choking. I’m feeling paralysed because I can’t breathe.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday thinking that it might just be sleep apnoea. But he said he was concerned that the surgery might have narrowed my throat canal. What are the steps if it is what he is concerned about?
