    Abdominal reconstruction

    Related Topic
I was diagnosed with an adrenal mass which caused my left kidney to shut down and my lung to partially collapse. As a result, when they entered my stomach to try and rectify this, they had trouble closing my stomach back up and needed skin grafts from my thigh to cover my stomach. I now have to have a abdominal wall reconstructed and am in constant fear of having this surgery done as I almost died with my initial problems. They will then discuss what they will do with the 17cm mass still inside me, they think benign. Is this surgery considered safe, obviously everything has risks and what is the usual recovery time post surgery?
