  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Why are my ears not working properly?

I can hear my heartbeat very loudly all the time, I also hear my own voice very loudly in my head when I am talking. I also have ringing constantly although I have had this for a lot longer. This has been going on for at least 12 mths.

I was told by 2 GPs that my ears are very clean but there appears to be some opaqueness(mucus build-up) behind the eardrum in eustation tube I was prescribed psudoephadrine to clear eustation tube. however this did not work
This has become a very big problem for me.
I have been researching on internet and have found what I think is the name as all symptoms outlined are exactly mine.
    Patulous Eustation Tube.
    What can I do?
