    He wil need long term residential therapeutic rehabilitation program and the strength and willingness to face himself most heroin addicts need the threat of jail or are sick and tired of being sick and tired to motive them to change, other motivaters could be children, health, legal, financial or just sick of being the disappointment in life.
    Google rehabs in your local area most require a detox first they will let you know. Make sure you are supported as it will not be a short process with some likely relapses along the way.
