    Holter monitoring records and analyses every heart beat for 24 hours (or sometimes longer). Episodes of AF can be recorded, timed and assessed for duration and heart rate, and very importantly, correlated to symptoms.

    That's all well & good as long as you have a AF episode will wearing it - wouldn't a event monitor that could be worn for weeks be more appropriate ?
