    Sjogren's syndrome is a progressive condition and the prognosis depends on the degree of damage to the lacrimal and salivary glands and if it is associated with other autoimmune disorders, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. Overall, the prognosis is good if early diagnosis is made and appropriate treatment is instituted.
