About
COPE stands for Perinatal Centre of Excellence. COPE provides high quality, evidence-based information to women, men, and health professionals to reduce the devastating impacts of emotional and mental health problems that commonly occur at along the journey to parenthood.
Whilst emotional and mental health problems are common at this time, low awareness and understanding, coupled with shame and stigma means that most women (74%) do not seek help early. Through our comprehensive website, innovative programs and advocacy work, COPE serves to empower and support new parents, and ultimately reduce the significant personal, social and economic costs of these debilitating conditions.
