Fatty liver is known as a "silent disease." The vast majority of patients feel completely fine and have no symptoms in the early stages. Some may experience mild fatigue or a dull ache in the upper right side of the abdomen. The primary risk is that, if left unchecked, the fat can trigger severe inflammation and lead to permanent liver scarring.
