COOLIEF® is a minimally invasive day procedure used to reduce long-term hip & knee joint pain, especially pain caused by osteoarthritis. Instead of treating the joint itself, COOLIEF® focuses on the small nerves that carry pain signals from the hip or knee to the brain. By reducing these pain signals, the hip or knee can feel much less painful, even though the joint condition hasn’t changed. The procedure does not involve surgery, joint replacement, or large incisions, and patients usually go home the same day. This advanced cooling technology allows for a larger, spherical treatment zone, improving the likelihood of capturing pain-causing nerves, especially those with complex or variable anatomy.
