Some people with diabetes experience symptoms such as increased thirst, frequent urination, tiredness, or unexplained weight loss. However, many people—especially with type 2 diabetes—may have no symptoms at all. A simple blood test can confirm the diagnosis. If you have risk factors such as family history, weight gain, or a history of gestational diabetes, it’s worth checking.
