Do not rub or massage the treated area for 24 hours and avoid lying down for 2–4 hours after the injection. This helps minimise redness, swelling, and bruising.

Avoid applying makeup or topical antiperspirants to the treated areas for 24 hours after treatment to reduce the risk of skin irritation.

Most people can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.

Botulinum toxin treatments do not work immediately. Results typically begin to appear within 3–7 days, with peak effect seen after 2–4 weeks. Not everyone will experience visible improvements or symptom relief.

The duration of effect varies depending on the condition. To maintain results, repeat injections may be necessary. For migraine and dystonia, treatments are usually repeated every 3 months. For excessive sweating, results may last between 3–12 months. Your doctor will advise on the optimal treatment schedule.
