    Yes! You can live a normal life without your gallbladder because your liver still produces bile for digestion; however, it flows directly into your small intestine instead of being stored in the gallbladder.

    Some people may experience mild digestive changes post-surgery which includes loose stools after fatty meals. These are usually manageable with dietary adjustments (avoiding fat rich diet).

    Some people may experience more symptoms (like abdominal bloating, cramps, urgency to open bowels, abdominal pain, loose and frothy bowel movements which are offensive in smell and difficult to flush). This is called post cholecystectomy syndrome and may require long term treatment with a powder medication. Fortunately, this is quite uncommon.
