    Diagnostic tools include:

    • Abdominal ultrasound: The most common test for detecting gallstones.

    • CT scan: May identify complications but is less effective at detecting small stones.

    • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP): Used to locate and remove stones blocking bile ducts.
