    Mild redness around the wound can be normal within 24–48 hours post-surgery; bruising near surgical areas may also occur due to gravity pulling blood downward from incisions but resolves in 3–5 weeks naturally without intervention unless signs worsen significantly (e.g., pus-like drainage). Contact your doctor immediately if infection symptoms arise such as severe pain (not responding to analgesics), fever over 101°F, foul-smelling discharge from wounds or if you are feeling unwell.
