No, patients are not allowed to drive themselves home after surgery due to the effects of anaesthesia or sedation. It is mandatory to arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home or accompany you if using public transportation. Driving should only resume once cleared by your doctor and after stopping narcotic medications that impair motor skills.
